Fraud Alert for Vehicle Owners

We have become aware of an increase in fraudulent activity involving individuals falsely impersonating authorized Mercedes-Benz personnel, requesting to collect vehicles under the pretense of a service, repair, or recall campaign.

Please be advised: this is a scam.

Mercedes-Benz will never arrange for a vehicle to be collected directly from your home or workplace unless this has been specifically requested by you.

Any request that differs from this process has not been authorized by Mercedes-Benz and should be treated as fraudulent.

How to Protect Yourself

If you receive a request to collect your vehicle, please take note of the following:

• Verify the source
Always ensure you are dealing with an official Mercedes-Benz dealership or authorized representative. Confirm their details by contacting your preferred dealership directly. Please refer to the Dealer Locator.

• Do not share information
Do not provide any personal or vehicle information to unverified individuals or contacts.

• Do not hand over your vehicle
Never release your vehicle unless the request has been confirmed directly with an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership.

• Report suspicious activity
Contact your nearest authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership to verify the request or report any suspicious communication.

• Stay alert to suspicious messages
Be cautious of messages containing shortened, misspelled, or unfamiliar links, as these are common indicators of fraudulent activity.
