There are three options for paying for your new vehicle in the Mercedes-Benz Online Store following a reservation: leasing, financing or purchasing. If you would like to buy the vehicle of your dreams, it is quick and easy.
I would like to buy my desired vehicle that I reserved in the Mercedes-Benz Online Store afterwards. What advantages does this payment option offer me?
If you would like to pay for your dream vehicle directly with your own funds, we offer it to you at the ex-works purchase price. You benefit from unlimited mileage and don't have to commit to a contract term. This means that you have control over your vehicle from the very beginning and without restrictions. Simply pay by bank transfer and the vehicle is then registered and handed over to you.
What advantages do I have by buying gap insurance?
Gap insurance protects you from unforeseeable financial risks, for example due to a total loss or theft of your vehicle. To ensure that you get through these and other cases without financial loss, gap insurance closes the gap between the purchase price and the replacement value. It is valid for up to 48 months.
Gap insurance has a fixed monthly premium. The exact premium amount depends on the vehicle class. If you purchase your new vehicle also here in the Online Store after the event of damage or loss, even the deductible is waived. This will save you additional money.

What is leasing?
When you lease a vehicle, you only pay for the use and not for the purchase. In addition to the term, the leasing application also specifies the expected mileage in kilometres. If you drive more or less kilometres than agreed, these will be settled transparently on the basis of contractually guaranteed rates. The leasing application also specifies the amount of the monthly lease payments and any special lease payment at the beginning of the contract. At the end of the contract period, simply return the vehicle to your authorised Mercedes-Benz dealer.
Always included with Mercedes-Benz Leasing GmbH leasing applications: free GAP insurance coverage. The GAP insurance coverage closes the gap between the payoff amount of the leasing contract and the insurance benefit. This means you don't have to make any unexpected additional payments and are always on the safe side financially. GAP insurance coverage is conditional upon payout by the vehicle insurer.
For whom is leasing suitable?
Leasing is ideal for both business and private customers if you do not want to use a vehicle forever, but only for a certain period of time. A leasing contract gives you exactly this freedom. Favourable, individually fixed leasing rates - depending on the amount of the optional special lease payment - give you financial leeway, while you are still always on the road in the latest model. In contrast to financing, the monthly lease payment does not account for the total value of the vehicle, but only the loss in value of the vehicle during this period. What is the procedure for leasing a vehicle via the Mercedes-Benz Online Store?
Leasing offers you the possibility to adjust the conditions to your individual needs. After you have entered your personal data in the Check & Drive online application of Mercedes-Benz Leasing GmbH, uploaded documents and identified yourself, you will receive your personal forms for the order and the leasing application for your reserved vehicle from our customer service. You sign these documents and then send them back to us. After a successful credit check, you will receive the corresponding leasing commitment in the Mercedes-Benz finance customer portal of Mercedes-Benz Leasing GmbH. We will inform you by email as soon as there is a message for you in the customer portal.
Please note that you do not place a binding order for the vehicle until you have signed the application documents.
Why is GAP insurance already included in leasing contracts and what gap does it cover?
In the event of theft or total loss, the motor vehicle insurer will only reimburse the replacement value of the vehicle. In addition to the vehicle, the lessor is still entitled to the outstanding leasing instalments up to the regular end of the contract due to the premature termination of the contract. The GAP insurance coverage closes this gap so that you do not have to make any additional payments and are on the safe side financially. GAP insurance is a free component of all leasing agreements.
How do I settle my one-time special lease payment?
You can settle the one-time special lease payment after the request for payment to the specified account. Make sure that the transfer details are correct.
Is a special repayment possible?
As the monthly lease payment covers the transfer of use of your vehicle, unscheduled repayment is not possible.
When is it possible to end the contract early?

What is a one-time special lease payment?
The one-time special lease payment is an optional one-off special payment at the beginning of the contract that reduces the amount of the monthly lease payments.

What is a fixed interest rate p.a.?
The fixed interest rate p.a. indicates the interest rate factor in per cent for one year, without taking other costs into account.
What is the total loan amount (net loan amount)?
The total loan amount corresponds to the purchase price of the leased vehicle.

The total amount is made up of the one-time special lease payment and the sum of all monthly lease payments over the agreed contract term.

How do I get my leasing commitment?

When you finance your vehicle, Mercedes-Benz Bank AG is your contract partner.
After you have entered your personal details in the Check & Drive online application of Mercedes-Benz Bank AG, uploaded documents and identified yourself, you will receive your personal forms for the order and the financing application for your reserved vehicle from our customer service. What happens if my loan application is rejected?
After a negative credit check, your financing request cannot be processed by Mercedes-Benz Bank AG. You still have the option to purchase your reserved vehicle in cash.
How do I make my down payment?
For private customers: The down payment is paid after the request for payment to the specified account. Make sure that the transfer details are correct.
The following applies to individual commercial customers: You pay the down payment (in the amount of the VAT on the purchase price) after the request for payment to the specified account. Make sure that the transfer details are correct.
Is early repayment of the loan possible?
To answer this question, we have to distinguish between the types of clients:
For private clients: Yes, early repayment of the loan is possible. In the event of early repayment, Mercedes-Benz Bank AG may demand an early repayment fee. For more information, please contact our customer service.
For individual commercial customers: No, early repayment of the loan is unfortunately not possible. For further information, please contact our customer service.

When does the borrower receive the vehicle documents (registration certificate part II)?
The registration certificate part II of the financed vehicle will be sent to the borrower as soon as all claims of Mercedes-Benz Bank AG have been settled by the borrower. This is usually after the end of the contract.
When is the financing contract terminated?
Standard financing ends with the receipt of the last monthly instalment, after which the registration certificate part II is automatically sent to you. If it is a Plus3 financing, you will receive a request three months before the end of the contract to let you know how you want to handle the agreed final instalment.
You have the following options:
- Keep the vehicle
Once the agreed final instalment has been paid, the vehicle is yours. Of course, you can also conveniently continue to finance the final instalment.
- Continue financing and driving
You can return your vehicle for the contractually guaranteed residual value, provided you have kept to the agreed mileage and the vehicle is in a condition in accordance with the contract. If you wish, you can immediately change to a new vehicle of your choice. The return option is based on a supplementary agreement to the Plus3 financing contract, which is concluded directly between you and your authorised Mercedes-Benz dealer. The agreed buy-back conditions apply.
- Returning the vehicle
You can return your vehicle for the contractually guaranteed residual value, provided you have kept to the agreed mileage and the vehicle is in a condition in accordance with the contract. If you wish, you can immediately change to a new vehicle of your choice. The return option is based on a supplementary agreement to the Plus3 financing contract, which is concluded directly between you and your authorised Mercedes-Benz dealer. The agreed buy-back conditions apply.
What is a down payment?

What is Plus3 financing?
Plus3 financing is a loan with a final instalment and an additional agreement on the return of the vehicle.
At the end of the contract you have three options: you can pay the final instalment and keep the vehicle. You can conclude a contract for follow-up financing and use it to finance the final instalment. Or you return the vehicle.
