Making the choice between the Vito's manual and automatic transmission is purely a matter of taste. Both transmission systems are perfectly tailored to the available engine range. This is demonstrated by the enhanced agility and in-gear flexibility offered by the drive unit – plus the considerable power reserve.

The 4-cylinder CDI engines in conjunction with rear-wheel drive are equipped as standard with the newly developed ECO Gear 6-speed manual transmission. ECO Gear is the ideal partner for the new engine generation: thanks to broader gear ratio spread, greater overall transmission ratio spread and a reduction of the engine speed, it also contributes to optimising fuel consumption.

The V6 CDI engine is available with a 5-speed automatic transmission, which is available as an option for the two more powerful 4-cylinder CDI engine.
